The Ondo State Youth Network (OSYN) has extended warm congratulations to the newly elected State Executive Committee members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, following the successful conduct of the union’s elections.
We particularly celebrate Prince Adeleke Adegbite on his well-deserved re-election as Chairman of the Council. His return for another three-year term is a testament to his steadfast leadership and the confidence reposed in him by his colleagues.
In a terse statement released by the network, OSYN urged the new executives to extend hands of fellowship to stakeholders and youth-focused bodies across the state, particularly in the areas of media development, good governance advocacy, and youth empowerment.
“We believe strongly in the renewed capacity of the NUJ under this team to lead with vision, responsibility, and impact,” the statement reads.
OSYN expressed confidence in the ability of the new leadership to further the cause of journalism and uphold press freedom while maintaining professionalism and ethics in the practice.
We are optimistic that this new administration will build on past successes and chart new paths for meaningful contributions to both the journalism profession and the larger Ondo community.
As always, the Ondo State Youth Network remains committed to strengthening ties with the NUJ.
We look forward to collaborative engagements, joint projects, and of course, more friendly football matches between our organization and the journalist community.
We wish the new executives a fruitful tenure and assure them of OSYN’s unwavering support in advancing the welfare of media professionals in Ondo State.
Signed:
