The 2025 Batch ‘A’ (Stream 1) orientation course officially commenced today, Wednesday, 23rd April 2025, in all the NYSC orientation camps across the nation.
Under the soft glow of the rising sun in the early hours, a stream of prospective corps members arrived at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State from across the country. Loads of bags in hand, excitement in their eyes as they stepped into a new chapter of the national service.
Screening procedures at the gate were conducted with utmost precision by camp officials and security personnel, ensuring a seamless entry process.
Amidst the process, the prospective corps members were welcomed with light refreshment, while the NYSC Band played traditional tunes, easing the tension and setting a welcoming mood.
The Reception of Corps Members Committee, under the direct supervision of the State Coordinator, NYSC Ondo State, Mrs. Kuburat Omowumi Bakare, and accompanied by the Camp Director, Pastor (Mrs.) Jennifer Funmilola Dawodu and the Deputy Camp Director, Mrs. Omolola Awodunmila were seen interacting warmly with corps members.
The State Coordinator while extending the hospitality of the NYSC Ondo State to the prospective corps members declared that the Scheme in the Sunshine State is fully ready and adequately prepared to give the patriotic Nigerians a safe and enriching orientation experience,
From initial screening and medical checks to accommodation, registration and kit distribution, the day is abuzz and progressing with motion and emotion. Laughter echoed through the grounds as graduate youths, who have never met, became roommates and individuals began bonding over shared dreams and duties.
