The Ijaw National Congress, Akure Chapter, has congratulated Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, on their inauguration as the 7th democratically elected Governor and Deputy Governor of Ondo State, respectively.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement released by the Chairman, Ijaw National Congress, Akure chapter, Comrade Ayo Ajele.
Comrade Ajele, on behalf of the Ijaw National Congress, Akure Chapter, expressed heartfelt congratulations to Governor Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Dr. Adelami, on their successful inauguration, praising the governor's leadership qualities and vision, which have brought about the 'Our Ease' agenda.
The Akure Chapter of Ijaw National Congress, which is the apex Ijaw socio-cultural organization that speaks and cares for all Ijaws reiterated their support for the governor and government of Ondo State, saying "we shall continue to be partners in progress"
The Congress also urged Governor Aiyedatiwa not to renege on his promise to continue running an inclusive and participatory government, where every citizen has a voice and an opportunity to contribute to the state's collective progress, adding that his administration should continue to prioritize the welfare of the people, foster economic growth, and ensure that Ondo State remains a beacon of hope and prosperity for generations to come, as emphasized by the governor.
The Ijaw National Congress, Akure Chapter, wished Governor Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Dr. Adelami many more years of good health, wisdom, and service to the people of Ondo State in their new stint in office.
They also expressed their confidence in the governor's ability to deliver on his campaign promises and take Ondo State to greater heights.
