The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Agriculture and Agricbusiness, Mr Wemimo Akinsola has commended the Governor of State Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa for signing four Executive Orders.
Mr Akinsola gave the commendation while briefing Press Men in his Office, Alagbaka Akure on the importance of the Executive Order to agriculture activities in the State.
According to the Senior Special Assistance to Mr Governor on Agribusiness, the Executive Orders are aimed at benefiting the State through the creation of more jobs to the youths, land accessible for farmers.
The Executive Orders would also provide an enabling environment for business growth, improving physical planning and protecting owners of landed properties in the state, he noted
Mr Akinsola added that the new Executive Order would also encourage foreign investors on mechanized systems of farming as well as agricultural value chains.
"The Aiyedatiwa led administration is poised to reposition agriculture in the State. The government is going to acquire more land in the three Senatorial Districts in agreement with the family and the host community, after the necessary agreement, the land will be allocated to investors and farmers."
"The issue of land grabbers and other forms of limitations to acquire land for development and agricultural purposes would be totally eliminated with the new Executive Orders." He explained.
Mr Akinsola also explained that the Executive Orders would help the government to promote agribusiness reforms, particularly by providing all relevant stakeholders with a mutually beneficial resolution to agricultural land concerns and investment opportunities.
It will be recalled that the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa signed four Executive Orders which cover: Transparency in regulatory processes by MDAs, Agribusiness reforms, Improved physical planning and Prohibition of land grabbing
