Royal Shepherd inducts Provost officers in Ekiti

The Regional Commander of the Sophia Ajayi Region, RS Major General Pius Ogunjobi, has encouraged both inducted and intending Provost officers to perform their duties by the ethical standards in  Sophia Ajayi Region, Ekiti State, Nigeria of the Royal Shepherds and global best practices and be spiritually inclined 

Ogunjobi made this call during an annual Regional Refresher Provost Training Course organized to improve effective service delivery and professionalism among the Provost officers serving in Ekiti State, Nigeria.

According to Ogunjobi, "this training and re-training of personnel are essential for capacity building and the effective discharge of duties.

He further emphasized that a Provost officer must lead by example through self-discipline, fear of God, politeness, temperance, and respect for the constituted authority of the Royal Shepherds.

He stressed the importance of putting their house in order, as he believes that charity begins at home. Ogunjobi also highlighted the need for Provost Officers in Royal Shepherds to perform their duties with utmost diligence, alertness, regimental discipline, loyalty, courage, fairness, and justice. 

" A good Provost officer in the Royal Shepherds must be born and made again" the Regional Commander added 

He maintained that the training program was a very appropriate and practical move by the National Organizing Secretary, RS Enock Babalola Adegbite, to bring out the best in them. 

He further reiterated that discipline and loyalty to the oath of service without prejudice would make Royal Shepherds officers and men stand out among other organizations 

"As a Provost Officers you are to abide by the rules and regulations and also be self disciplined" 

The event, which witnessed excellent displays such as a parade of the Provost officers in slow and quick march, unarmed combat, and  drills, also featured the


 presentation of certificates to the participants.

The intending Provost officers were subjected to drills by the Cadet Initiative Ekiti State Chapter.



Resource persons were invited to speak at the Provost training, including Former Commissioner, RS Brig. Gen. Idowu Adebowale, Regional Commander, Sophia Ajayi Region, RS Major Gen. Pius Ogunjobi, and RS Major S.O. Popoola, who delivered papers at the event.

Highlight of the event was the issuance of certificates to both Verified and Intending Provost officers."
