Ondo 2024: Women in Owo, Akoko Rally Supports For Aiyedatiwa





Women in the three council areas of  Owo, Akoko Southeast and Akoko South West LGAs have come together to show their supports for Mr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Governor of Ondo State and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the November 16 governorship election in the state.

The Special Adviser on Women Affairs to the governor, Dr. Bosede Osamaye while speaking when during the visits said more and more women are rallying behind Aiyedatiwa and his many initiatives. 

Osamaye said it was essential to acknowledge the pivotal role women play in politics and governance, stressing that their collective voice and influence have the power to sway elections and shape policies. 

Her words: "By actively supporting a candidate like Aiyedatiwa, the women in the three councils  are not only demonstrating unity but also highlighting key issues that matter to them. Through their advocacy and mobilization efforts, they bring a unique perspective to the forefront of the political landscape, advocating for gender equality, healthcare, education, and other social issues. The supports of women  can significantly impact Governance and foster a more inclusive and diverse political representation."



Notably, the philanthropist said Governor Aiyedatiwa's track records and qualifications are crucial aspects to consider when evaluating his candidacy for the forthcoming 2024 elections in Ondo state.

Besides, the Team also  received royal blessings in the ancient city of owo when they  paid homage to the Olowo of Owo kingdom, HRM Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III and the Ojomo of Ijebu, Oba Kofoworola  Oladoyinbo Ojomo Aruliwo III, 

The O'datiwa Women Initiative Train was also  led by chief Mrs Eko Davies (SA Traders Affairs), Hon Oluyemi Damilola (SA Mobilization), Hon Aarinola Adamolekun (Full Time Board Member, HMB), Hon Yinka Alabi (Fmr Commissioner of Women Affairs), Erelu Oshifeso (Ondo North West LCDA Vice Chairman), Mrs Ikotun, Chief Mrs Fayehun (Ondo West APC LG Women Leader), Hon Chief mrs  Aborode(President, Women Artisans), Princess Iji Aiyeola(Convener, Lucky Women Forum), Mrs Toyin(Progressive NATION President) and other notable women leaders and Stakeholders.
