The ancient town of Ayede Ogbese was agog as Friends, family, children of the late Monarch, HRM Oba Ajibola Oluyede bid him farewell.
The event which was held at the Royal Ranch in the town was graced by The Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Amapetu of Mahin Land, HRM Oba Segun Williams Akinyomi, High Chief Martin Oyenowo Ogungbure, the Oyenogho of Mahin kingdom and other traditional rulers from Ilaje Local Government
Speaking with Newsline NG, the monarch’s son, Prince Adetunmbi Oluyede described his late father as a kind man he ever know on earth, promising to continue his laid down legacies.
"My father left a good legacy of love, generosity, and selfless service to God and mankind and i pledged to build on the solid foundation of my father to continue to impact lives and change the society for the better.
He however thanked everyone for celebrating with them, the exemplary life and legacy of his father, HRM Alaiyeluwa Oba Ajibola Olaleye Oluyede
The Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa also described the late Monarch as a man with many virtues
Newsline NG learnt that the Late Monarch's daughter, Dr. Olufunto Oluyede-Campbell was installed as Regent of Ayede Ogbese.
Highlights at event included; a farewell Novelty Football Match flagged -off by the Ondo State Government for Youth and Sports, Hon. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, Special valedictory court session to honour the late Monarch, Service of songs and Entertainment of guest where Oba Awon Oba Concert performed melodious songs
