Ondo State coord takes familiarisation tour to NSCDC, calls for more synergy






The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps in Ondo State, Mr. Sam Amaramiro Pepple has called on various stakeholders of the Scheme  to promote more synergy among one another.

The State Coordinator made the call when he visited the State Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) as part of his familiarisation tour to key Government agencies and institutions that have collaboration with NYSC. 

Speaking at NSCDC Command Headquarters in Akure, Pepple appreciated the synergy between the two organisations and tasked the paramilitary organisation to ensure that it gives priority to corps members' security at all times. 

He assured the management of the NSCDC that the Scheme will continue to strengthen the relationship already in existence, as he promised to explore areas of more collaboration. 

Welcoming his guest, the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Prince Oluyemi Joshua Ibiloye asserted that NYSC is a training ground for graduate youths of this country to contribute meaningfully to the overall development of the country. 

Ibiloye, who is the 20th NSCDC boss in Ondo, the Sunshine State said that despite the security challenges facing the country, his command has been complementing other security organisations to rid the state of criminal elements, maintain peace and ensure security of citizens and residents living or doing legitimate business in all the Local Governments in Ondo State. 



The Commandant who was deployed to Kebbi State for his mandatory one year of national service said that the doors of his command are open to the NYSC while they, on their part, will ensure that protection of corps members remained sacrosanct and priority of NSCDC.
