The implementation of Public Private Partnership (PPP) introduced by Federal Government some years ago is working perfectly in Ondo NYSC as the State Coordinator, Mr. Sam Amaramiro Pepple has invigorated the system.
Since assumption of office seven weeks ago, the cerebral administrator has intensified strengthening of relationships with notable stakeholders that included the Corps Employers in the state.
Speaking through his Zonal Inspectors and Local Government Inspectors, the NYSC helmsman in the Sunshine State appealed to the beneficiaries of corps members to donate materials that will make the members of the service corps to be comfortable while undergoing the three weeks orientation course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ikare-Akoko.
The Corps Employers sought the attention of the NYSC management to ask where they could come in because the Scheme has been very helpful and supportive to them, and this brought about the donation of ceiling fans to the orientation camp which is specifically meant for corps members' hostels.
As at now, and across all the four zones comprising of the 18 Local Governments, the management has received a total number of 70 units, and more are still coming in.
In a relative development, the State Coordinator, Mr. Sam Amaramiro Pepple has declared that drugs donation to the Scheme by the Nigerian Navy for use during the on-going 2024 Batch 'B' (Stream 1) orientation course is a challenge and clarion call to other stakeholders to avail the Scheme of logistics and other support.
Receiving the supply from the representative of the Forward Operation Base, Igbokoda, the NYSC Ondo State boss expressed gratitude to the Commanding Officer for extending hands of support to the Scheme.
He said that FOB has added another dimension to its primary mandate of securing the waterways and territorial integrity of the country to campaigning for improved healthcare services for the citizens and residents of the country.
The Commanding Officer who was represented by SLT DC Ifokwe said that any assistance rendered to enhance welfare and well-being of the members of the service corps was not a misplaced priority, as the Scheme is considered as one of their own.
