IGBOKODA ON THE GROUND OF ONE SIDED NOMINATION OF CENTRAL BODY; A CALL FOR AN URGENT INTERVENTION.
We the undersigned are the representatives and stakeholders of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Igbokoda in Ilaje Local Government and on behalf of the others we hereby intimate your office on the above subject matter.
It is no longer news that for sometimes National Union of Road Transport Workers, Igbokoda had factionalized into tv 0; these are Comrade Aganmuyi Adeyemi Aseri faction and Comrade Adetolubo Owoyemi faction, this happened when the union was nick named as Ondo State Management Park, which led to two parks and managed by the aforementioned duo of Aganmuyi Adeyemi Aseri (aka Bamisere) and Adctolubo Owoyemi.
As if this was not enough thereafter another faction known as Tomola Ikusedun came up and this led to three factions in which everyone was operating within the scope of each and everyone assignment.
Your Excellency Sir, in February, 2024, Ondo State Management Park was returned to National Union of Road Transport Workers and there was directive from the state central body that all the factions should let go their grievances so that the union would become one and in doing this the Central Body was set up for National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Igbokoda which combined two factional groups out of three and these two factional groups belong to Comrade Adetolubo Owoyemi and Tomola Ikusedun whereas that of Aganmuyi Adeyemi Aseri was totally left out; this is not fear in the eyes of equity and justice. To as ascertain this; these are the names of the members of the said central body and groups in which they belong to:
1. Comrade Adetolubo Owoyemi (Chairman) he is the leader of his group 2. Prince Bamigbe Lebile (Deputy Chairman) Tomola Ikusedun group
3. Mr. Nasiri Emoluwa (Secretary) Adetolubo Owoyemi's group
4. Tomola Ikusedun (Treasurer) leader of his group
5. Tola Ebijimi (member) he belongs to Adetolubo Owoyemi’s group
6. Ajinde (member) he belongs to Adetolubo Owoyemi’s group.
Sir, currently at the Igbohoda park, Comrade Adetolubo Owoyemi is not ready to incorporate anyone identified with Comrade Aganmuyi Adeyemi Aseri’s group either as member of his group or as friend. He demonstrated it fully on the 6th day of March, 2024 where he called stakeholders’ meeting of the Union in which he failed, refused and / or neglected to call anybody from Aganmuyi’s group including Comrade Aganmuyi Adeyemi Aseri himself, sir, there is no doubt that the scenario above; if allowed, will certainly generate serious and violent resistance and possible bloodshed on the aforementioned date.
In further to this, the said Comrade Adetolubo Owoyemi has been boasting around that he is in-charge, that the state chairman is behind him and that Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, The Executive Governor of Ondo State, is his elder brother that he has his full support to act in the way he likes and this has been generating social unrest at the park, we pray it does not get out of hands before an attempt would be made to avert it.
