A Non-govermental Organization in Ondo town, "WHO I AM FOUNDATION (WIAF) has donated food items estimated about several thousands of naira to about 100 families in Ondo town.
The foundation founded 15 years ago by a visually Impaired Person, Mrs Taibat Olafisoye, also offered free medical treatments to about 500 persons.
The beneficiaries which includes, People With Disabilities (PWD) accident victims, visually impaired persons, widows, deaf and dumb as well aged men and women among others.
The programme which is part of the activities marking the annual end of the year celebration of the foundation, held at the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Anu Oluwapo Parish, Arigbabola, Ondo town.
Speaking at the ocassion, the founder of the foundation, Mrs Taibat Olafisoye, said the foundation founded 15 years ago was aimed at rendering selfless humanity service to the less priveledges in the society.
She used the occasion to mentioned several humanitarian services the foundation has embarked upon since it was created, explained that she was in 300- level at the University when she surdenly loss her sight.
She disclosed her intension to continue in using the foundation to assist the less priveledged in the society including abandoned and motherless children dumped by the roadsides
She however solicited for the supports of the public spirited individuals, saying the move would allow the foundation to achieve more purposes it was created.
Similarly, in his welcome speech delivered at the ocassion, the husband, who is also the co-founder of the foundation, Mr Soledayo Olafisoye, said the foundation will always do everything to see to the plights of the less priveledges in the society.
He further reiterated the readiness of the foundation to continue to render selfless services to the people, thanked those who have supported it.
Several speakers at the occasion which includes, Venerable Felix Akintemi, Evangelist Jesuloba George, commended the foundation over what they described as humanitarian services to members of the public.
They admonished it to continue in the same vein, urged members of the public especially the philanthropists to emulate the foundation and assist the less priveledges in the society.
The highpoint of the annual celebration was the presentation of food items to the beneficiaries, also featured activities like songs ministration, health talk, bible reading, prayers, donations and fund raising.
