Ore explosion: Ondo Assembly Member, Ifabiyi makes case for survivors, seeks financial assistance





The lawmaker representing Odigbo Constituency, Hon Olatunji Ifabiyi has moved a motion on the need for providing relieve materials, and Financial assistance to the survivors of tanker explosion in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo

It will be recalled that on Saturday 23rd, July, 2023, a tanker loaded with Premium motor spirit (PMS) lost control and splited its content into a River at Omi-ayo community, in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo state which resulted into loss of lives and Property

Ifabiyi who moved the motion on the floor of the house, said the need for rendering relieve materials and financial assistance is imperative as it will mitigate thier sufferings

According to him, we are saddened about the Saturday's ugly incident and it is our duty to make sure everything works well especially for residents in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo state. 

Ruling on the motion raised, the Ondo State House of Assembly led by its Speaker Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji called on National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA to urgently provide relief materials for the victims to ameliorate the sufferings

The House however directed the state ministry of health, office of the Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Relations and individual philanthropists to ensure adequate treatment and other cares are given to the injured.
