Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has approved the sum of 12.5 billion Naira for the reconstruction, rehabilitation and dualization of the 35.6km Iwo-Road interchange to Olodo, Lalupon-Odo Oba road.
The Commissioner for Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport, Professor Daud Shangodoyin disclosed this to newsmen after the State Executive Council meeting presided over by the Governor on Tuesday.
He noted that the governments of Oyo and Osun States will flag off the project very soon, as it is expected to be completed within 18 months.
Additionally, approval was given for the restoration, modernization and maintenance of street lights at ten strategic junctions across Oyo State at the sum of over ₦247 million, through the Alternative Funding Project Approach.
