Life is not just party and pleasant, it is also pain and despair. Bad things happen to good people. We wish some things don't just happen to us and we get sad seeing them happen. Such is the case of miss AJAKAYE OLUFUNKE.
AJAKAYE FUNKE is a promising young lady from the town of Ikaram in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State. She's twenty-four(24) years old and a student of School of Health Technology, Akure.
She walked into our office yesterday to seek financial assistance after which I was moved to speak with her. It was then she told me her story that moved me to tears.
Funke has been battling with sickle cell crisis being a Hb SS patient for a while now. She was involved in an accident on the 14th of February, 2021 which has made ambulation difficult for her due to multiple joint pain.
After spending almost four months on admission, she was discharged on the 10th of June, 2021 with an advice to frequently report for further clinical check-ups but life's been tough since then because of financial incapability, according to her.
I know we are in a world where people take advantage of someone else's problem for their selfish interest but I want to say that I'm putting this up because she gave her approval to do so and I feel this is part of my own little way of supporting her.
She's reached out to many individuals and still trusting God for help. I want to appeal to all my friends on this platform to please join me to support this young lady as God helps us.
