The National Youth Service Corps, Oyo State Coordinator, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe has urged members of staff to always uphold the NYSC core values while carrying out their duties with utmost zeal and commitment.
She gave the charge at the general staff meeting held in preparation for the 2022 Batch B Stream ll at the NUT Hall, Agodi, Ibadan.
Ogbuogebe, admonished the members of staff to warmly welcome corps members at their arrival in the orientation camp without giving any preferential treatment to PCMs. 'Remember, our core mandate, which is to promote unity in diversity', says SC.
In order to achieve huge success in the forthcoming orientation course, she encouraged the staff to cultivate harmonious working relationship amongst themselves and the collaborating Agencies.
She further enjoined the staff to be of good examples and avoid over socialisation with Prospective Corps Members in order to have a firm grip of them and encourage discipline while in camp.
On COVID-19, the State Coordinator equally urged the members of staff to subject themselves to the test/ vital checks while observing all the protocols.
The State coordinator gave stringent warning to staff to ensure they make themselves available at every camp activities since this helps them to learn from other committees and keep abreast of the operations of the NYSC.
The Camp Director for the 2022 Batch B Stream ll Mrs Awolola Kemi solicited for support and team work among members of staff to achieve a huge success. She charged them to ensure there is synergy between the scheme and the collaborating agencies.
The meeting which had all staff in attendance also gave the Heads of Assignments the opportunity to give a brief on their level of preparedness.
