AJIPE: THE COMMITTED PROGRESSIVE, THE MAN OF THE PEOPLE
The facts speak for themselves:
Alexander Oluwaremilekun Ajipe, a young and enterprising man, has been in the progressive family since the advent of the fourth republic in 1999. He has since then continued to play very active roles in all the elections that have held with his resources and wealth.
He was part of Ademola Adegoroye campaign team in 2006 under AC. Even when the party lost the election, he stayed with the party. In 2012 and 2016, Ajipe, being an Owo man, supported Akeredolu to get the party ticket. And he played a very active role in the re-election of Akeredolu in 2020.
His unparalleled sense of selflessness was on display in 2006 when Prince Ademola Adegoroye was the candidate of the Action Congress. Together with other progressives like Baba Demola Ijabiyi, Sola Iji and others, young Ajipe set off for Lagos to meet a great leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Unfortunately, after days of waiting without seeing the large-hearted leader, the team was almost stranded at the Lagos Airport Hotel. But it took the action of Ajipe, who perhaps was the youngest among the team at the time to rescue the day.
Though he has been in the fold for a long time, but his political activities came to the fore in 2019 ahead of the second term election of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu. As the founder of a strong political group, Ibi Giga Ambassadors, Ajipe used his resources to push for the reelection of the governor.
He was among the very few loyal supporters who remained committed to the dream. In a single day, Ajipe singlehandedly gave out 34 vehicles to all Ibi Giga Ambassadors coordinators across the 18 local government in the state.
In 2020, Ibi Giga Ambassadors was the most active and major group that campaigned for the reelection of Governor Akeredolu. In case you didn't know, Ibi Giga Ambassadors was one of the strong groups that worked for the second term ambition of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu was the chairman of Civil Society Groups under Aketi Campaign Organization. He was also appointed as a member of APC National Campaign Organization for Akeredolu
Like the Northern star, up till date, Ajipe has remained faithful to the party, contributed a great deal to the party, been progressive and committed to the party.
