Barring any dial minute change, the stage appears set for the annual convention of an ecclesiastical group, Youth Rescue mission (YRM).
The convention which is billed for Wednesday, April 20-23, 2022, with the theme, “There remaineth lands to possess”, will hold at Christ Apostolic Church (Mount of Fulfillment) in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Shedding more light on the programmme, the Chairman of YRM, Mr. Akinbolade Segun, said the annual convention is aimed at reinvigorating and bringing people back to Christ.
He said since the world is sliding into depravity, the need put up a spiritual programme becomes imperative, adding that the spate of decadence in the society is becoming worrisome.
Using the analogy of the unstructured and highly competitive society to explain the theme, Akinbolade paradoxically said there are lands remaining for everybody in as much as the right path is toed.
Akinbolade, who wondered why youths would devote large chunk of their time to cyber crime, in a bid to meet wrong financial obligations, oppress friends with material things and superintend over ill-gotten wealth, advised youths that hardwork pays and it should be sustained as way of returning sanity back to the society.
However, he urged people to be enthused in the convention, stressing that only God has the only key to the adversity troubling the nation.
