A yet-to-be identified man was found dead around Elementary Comprehensive Health Centre, Oba-Ile today.
As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the death is unknown.
It was gathered that the deceased was seen by an eyewitness on Thursday evening looking dehydrated.
A health officer on duty said she saw the deceased around 10am gasping for breath and gave up the ghost around 11am.
“There is no known connection between the health centre and the deceased person”, he said.
Reacting to the incident, Chairman of Health Committee in Akure Local Government area of Oba-Ile, Mr Famuyide Olubodun said he was notified around 11 a.m. that a person was found dead beside the health center.
He stated that immediately he heard about the issue, he called the Councilor of the community, Mr. Korede Folorunso to see how to evacuate the corpse from the street.
Olubodun said the incident has been reported to the Oba-Ile police station and have been directed to inform environmental officers about the incident
