A yet-to-be identified corps member has been allegedly shot by a policeman at New garage area, ibadan, Oyo State capital on Thursday.
The incident which resulted to pandemonium in the area was between some corps members and Four police officers.
A witness who pleaded anonymity, said the officers during stop-and-search at Odo ona kekere had allegedly demanded money from them .
This he said angered the corp members and they allegedly drove off in their Toyota muscle car.
The police officers immediately gave them a chase and caught up with the corps members at New garage and allegedly shot at one of them.
This got the youths angry and allegedly pounced on one of the police officers while the three others fled the scene.
It was gathered that the corps members were coming from the Oluyole local government area headquarter for their weekly community development service CDs hence the large number of the youths.
However, the injured corps member according to report, has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale oshifeso while confirming the incident said the case is being investigated .
