Ace Broadcaster, Yemi Sonde quits as independent Radio/Television Presenter

 

Ace Broadcaster, Yemi Sonde popularly known as, Jigan Akala on Tuesday signed off officially from being an Independent Presenter from all radio & television stations 

Yemi Sonde made this official announcement today on his weekly magazine program, YS Live on Splash FM anchored by Seun Akinola. 

In his words, Yemi Sonde thanked God Almighty, his late parents and his boss, late Toba Opaleye for the opportunity given to attain the heights in chosen field. 

He went down the memory lane about his broadcasting adventures since 1989 at OGBC till the present moment while he discussed some impacts of some people in his life, the likes of Late Gbenga Adeboye, Alhaji Remi Sanni Arewa, Sigoa Driving School owner, Lere Shittu and many others. 

The last edition of YS Live on Splash FM also hosted Dr Festus Adedayo who also posed some questions to the "guest" Yemi Sonde.

Some cash prizes were dolled out to callers, online viewers, widows and many others to serve as parting gifts for all.

After the program, Yemi Sonde in company of his allies checked into the "Palace" of the Eekarun Olubadan and founder of West Midlands Communications owners of Splash FM Ibadan, Lagelu FM & Splash FM Abeokuta ; High Chief Adebayo Akande, Yemi Sonde showed his heart of gratitude for the platform given to him ever since the establishment of Splash FM Ibadan in 2007 till this day.

The Eekarun Olubadan prayed for Yemi Sonde and congratulated him for the newly established Radio Station, Yes FM Ibadan, Yemi Sonde who made it clear that the advent of Yes FM  Ibadan is actually the success of Splash FM while he emphasized that nothing like competition among the two stations but collaboration for progress. 

The General Manager, Splash FM, Mr Tunde Olawuwo also thanked Mr Yemi Sonde for being a trailblazer among his colleagues in the Broadcasting Industry and prayed for the success of Yes FM Ibadan. 

Yemi Sonde urged everybody to always have good inter & intra personal relationship with each other in all spheres of life while many goodwill messages from fans across the globe were coming in to appreciate Yemi Sonde for a job well-done over the years. We thank God for a good and glorious ending.
