The State Coordinator NYSC Oyo State, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe has admonished the 2021 Batch C Stream ll corps members not to allow the opportunity offered by the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme slips off their hand.
She said the only way they can master their chosen skill is to continue with the post camp training.
The State Coordinator gave this admonition while addressing corps members during the SAED exhibition and closing ceremony at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin.
The State Coordinator also used the medium to appreciate the NYSC management for creating such a unique opportunity for the corps members to be trained by seasoned facilitators while in camp.
She therefore urged them to be focused so that the purpose of this laudable programme will not be defeated.
She further encouraged them to take advantage of the funding options that were introduced to them during the course of their training which include, Central Bank of Nigeria, Bank of Agriculture, Bank of Industry and Nigeria Incentive Based Risk Sharing System ( NIRSAL) .
"They are ready to assist you with soft loans in setting up your businesses".she said.
Mrs Ogbuogebe equally urged the corps members to always strive for excellence in their chosen skills.
She warned them not to compromise quality and standard in the use of materials for any of their businesses.
Earlier in her address, the Assistant Director Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Mrs Ojo Atinuke, informed the corps members that SAED trainers are resident in all the 33 local government of Oyo State for them to
continue their training.
At the end of the inter platoon competition, prizes were presented to winners of various skill sets which include, fashion design, tie and dye, hair dressing, make-up and gele among others.
