Hon. Festus Akingbaso, has declared interest in contesting the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency Seat.
The lawmaker made his intention known on Thursday during his visit to some leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, this is just as he was endorsed by the Party members most especially youths, women in Ibule community in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
Akingbaso, a member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, representing Idanre Constituency, in an interview with newsmen, shortly after meeting with leaders of PDP in Ifedore Local Government, said he was spurred by the desire to serve humanity.
The Idanre-born politician who expressed his readiness to serve and to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people, urged the leaders to support his ambition.
Pledging their downright support, the party chieftain led by a former Accountant General, Dr. Lawrence Olayiwola, assured Akingbaso of massive support.
Meanwhile, he was received in audienece when he also visited Ibule Community where he was unanimously endorsed by the PDP’s executives in the area.
However, the lawmaker donated 400 bags of rice and cash gift to the people.
