The Federal University Oye-Ekiti, FUOYE Staff Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Limited (FCMS) has inaugurated newly elected officials to oversee leadership posts of the cooperative society.
This was done following the expiration of the tenure of their predecessors under the amiable leadership of Engr. Owoeye Adebayo
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mr.Iko who is ably represented by Mr. Falade expressed gratitude to the congress for finding them worthy to serve in that capacity.
He stressed that marvelous support is given to them by congress to a large extent culminated in the successful conduct of a free, fair, and credible election.
He however admonished the elected executives to harness the good potential with a further investment that will make the society grow.
In his address, the outgoing president Engr Owoeye Adebayo gave thanks to God for seeing him throughout the years of service to humanity as the President, FUOYE CMS LTD from 2017 to 2021.
"Our regime try it's best to uplift this society to the present enviable position despite all odds, we are faced with a backlog of loans, account in shambles, all landed properties seemed lost, all hopes of members wavering but God has upturned all those misfortune today and the society has fully recovered". He said
Engr Owoeye further noted that, the Ayegbaju land currently is on the verge of illuminating Ekiti State under our visionary first of all Federal Mortgage Housing Units,adding that 600 hundred housing units have been approved for this society and in a few days, phase one of the projects will kick start in earnest.
"One hundred plots of Oye land layout has been done and it will be allocated to interested members, the Ikole land has been possessed, while the layout has been revitalized, and is ready for allocation.
He however thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Oye Ekiti, Prof.Abayomi Sunday Fasina for his all-around support in times of need and also thanked the Director of Cooperative Services Ekiti state for his invaluable support and advice during his tenure
Speaking on behalf of the newly elected executives , the President-Elect, FUOYE CMS, Mr. Adegun Caleb Oluwole thanked it's members for the confidence sprawled in them and stated that he was fully aware of the volume of the responsibilities of the office and will therefore be at alert to discharge his duties diligently.

"This society is going to be the first cooperative that will have Federal Mortgage Bank Housing Units in Ekiti State, we are second in the southwest, so, we have very good prospects to succeed better and collective support will determine how far we will go "He said
In his reactions, an admin staff, from Deputy Vice Chancellor's office (Academic) Mr Falade urged the new excos to jettison favoritism and inequality in their agenda.
Also, Mr Dele Adesunloye of the Directorate of Corporate Services, FUOYE said," FUOYE CMS is not for all FUOYE staff but FUOYE CMS financial members.
"Do not give room to non-members of this society who intend to get a loan that can jeopardize the society as we have in the past administration
Mr. Moses Osagie in his words, said, " I am very happy to be part of this epoch event and Appreciated God today for making it a memorable day.
He however advised the new excos to build their name rather than tarnishing it.
Mr Akinyemi ( Artillery) advised the president-elect not to keep malice with his critics and always embrace everybody and work for the betterment of society.
Mrs Bunmi Olarewaju in her own words, " I want to appeal to every members of this great society to support this present administration in order to record a great success"
Also, the Vice President elect, Mrs Funmilayo Adeyemo appreciated everyone for the trust repose in this present excos.
"If we failed to deliver, this might not give them room to get another opportunity from the members"
She appealed to the members to communicate the Excos whenever a good head comes up.she further said, with God, they will do more greatness.
The Secretary, FUOYE CMS, Mrs Mariam however thanked everyone for finding time to be part of the ceremony.
Highlight of the event includes, traditional oath-taking which was administered by the Director of Cooperative Services
