“Check your dashboard regularly for important information“, Ondo State coord tells corps members

The NYSC Ondo State Coordinator, Mrs. Victoria Nnenna Ani has impressed it upon corps members on the need to constantly check their dashboards for important and relevant information about the Scheme.

The State Coordinator made the statement when she debriefed the 2021 Batch 'C' (Stream II) corps members ahead of the closing ceremony.

Mrs. Ani said that members of the service corps should be conversant with happenings within the Scheme and avail themselves of various updates through the official information handles.

"Gentlemen corps members, I need to reiterate and emphasise that you should always take advantage of information handles of the Scheme to update yourselves so that you will be better armed with requisite and necessary information that will assist you throughout the service year".

"As you are proceeding to the second cardinal programme of the noble Scheme, I wish to let you know that your service is wholly to God and humanity, and I want to encourage you to strive and leave lasting and positive legacies at your various places of primary assignment".

The NYSC Ondo State boss informed the corps participants that their predecessors impacted greatly in the various communities they served and admonished them to improve on what they shall meet on ground.

"I have no doubt that the three weeks orientation course you have been exposed to will serve as a litmus test to what you will experience in the larger society and I am enjoining you to live a disciplined and decent life" she said.

"While you are here for the orientation programme, all activities and events are regimented and you participated actively which means that other challenges that may come your way in the course of the service will be a child's play".

The Coordinator informed the corps members who are yet to receive the COVID -19 vaccination to do so without further delay as Federal Government has commenced the implementation of no entry into public offices of those without vaccination as from 1st December, 2021.

"I want to appeal to you to look for vaccination centres close to your residences or places of primary assignment and get vaccinated before Government decides to take drastic action against those who refused to take to the directive".

"You are going into the society and environment that is entirely new and different from where you are coming from and I want to specially appeal to you to take your personal security seriously and you should not keep late nights".

"In addition, I want you to stay where you are posted and serve wholeheartedly and with utmost sense of commitment. Do not venture into senseless travelling and gallivanting around the country. The roads are not safe, so, stay where you are posted and make the difference".

Mrs. Ani charged them to accept their posting in good faith and should not influence rejection as NYSC would apply sanctions against violators.

The State Coordinator wished them the best during the service year and admonished them to be good ambassadors of the NYSC Scheme and their respective families.
