Oyo: Ex-Director tasks Corps members to give back to the society





A retired NYSC Director Chief (Mrs) Foluso Asake Lasaki has tasked Corps members to always give back to the society that has invested much in them. 

He stated that gratitude is an attitude they should posses as this would help them give back to the society especially those who contributed along the line to see them to their present phase. 

The Astute Administrator during a Motivational lecture to 2021 Batch B (Stream l) Corps members currently undergoing orientation course at NYSC Oyo permanent orientation camp,  Iseyin, further admonished the Corps members to avail themselves the opportunities of the orientation exercise while allowing the knowledge acquired to reflect in all they do during and after their service year. 


She also encouraged them to shake off pride and relate decently amongst themselves. 

Chief Mrs Lasaki, who is one of the pioneer set of the National Service reminded the compatriots that the orientation course is not a waste of time but an avenue to understand better the objectives of the Scheme which have been set to encourage national development, integration and unity amongst our youths. 

She said the nation relies on their selfless service to achieve the objectives of the founding fathers. 
 
On Youth Empowerment, she  encouraged the Corps members to take advantage of the SAED /WAP training to acquire relevant skills that will help reduce the alarming rate of unemployment among graduate youths.


She disclosed that only skills can help increase their streams of income.

Earlier in her address the NYSC Oyo State Coordinator Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe expressed her appreciation to the Entrepreneur for motivating both Corps members and camp officials by offering them the opportunity to tap from her wealth of experience.


She equally affirmed that it is easier for the youth to adopt the required positive change as presented by those that have gone ahead of them.
